Why I’m studying kinesiology

I played basketball, track and field, powerlifting, and varsity football, where I became one of the captains. Rehabilitation for a shoulder injury helped me understand the importance of learning to move and exercise correctly. I also have a pinky injury that will require surgery. I’m now studying kinesiology at Texas Tech and preparing for medical school. This project shares information about injury prevention and recovery with other student athletes.

Young Athlete Health · Ages 17–25

This growing educational section is dedicated to young athletes navigating training, injury, rehabilitation, and a safe return to sport. It includes 1,000 searchable topic summaries spanning Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, sports medicine, and orthopedics.
